Cancún Family Sun
A family beach trip on the Mexican Caribbean, with a kids' club, a cenote swim, the ruins at Tulum and a gentle reef snorkel for young swimmers.
- Duration
- 5 nights
- Guide price
- from $2,700 pp
- Best time
- Dec–Apr
It suits families with younger children. You stay at one resort for all five nights and leave it for just two planned outings, Tulum and a cenote on day three and the reef on day four, so most days begin and end at the pool.
The itinerary
Day by day
Day 1
Welcome to the Caribbean
Your transfer is waiting at Cancún International, and the resort is a short drive away. Let the kids scout the pools and sign up for the kids' club while you unpack.
Day 2
Beach and Kids' Club
Children can meet new friends at the kids' club while parents enjoy the beach or spa. Gather again in the afternoon for sandcastles and a swim.
Day 3
Tulum and a Cenote Swim
Your guide brings the Mayan ruins of Tulum to life with stories sized for young explorers. Cool off afterward in a crystal-clear freshwater cenote before returning for an easy evening.
Day 4
Snorkel the Reef
Board a boat for a gentle snorkel over the reef, with life vests and patient guides for younger swimmers. Spend the afternoon back at the resort pool.
Day 5
Choose Your Adventure
Pick an eco-park, a family cooking class or a day with no plans at all. If the kids' club runs an evening program, it's a good night for an adults-only dinner.
Day 6
One Last Swim
Breakfast, a final swim, then the transfer back to the airport. With a short flight home, you're often back the same evening.
Want it a little different?
Choose a quieter resort on the Riviera Maya, add a day at Chichén Itzá, or switch to an adults-only resort for a couples' version.
